Developing Personal Connections and Improving Lives
I understand that people place a great deal of trust in their healthcare provider. I strive to create and keep a reassuring and honest environment for my patients, where they feel comfortable asking questions. My patients are more than teeth in a chair; they are whole people, with unique lives, experiences, and expectations. My goal is to build a personal relationship with each patient, and work together to achieve their healthiest smile!
The oral cavity provides a snapshot of a person’s overall well-being. From the condition of the tissue to wear patterns on teeth, the mouth can be a gateway to diagnosing and understanding other underlying health conditions. Understanding the mouth/body connection is important. Working one-to-one with each patient, I help them take control of their overall and oral health.
I want those in my care to have healthy bodies and healthy smiles, so they can fully enjoy all that is good in life!
The Green Lake Dental Care
I have joined a team that immediately and consistently has shown genuine care for each patient. It shows in their pride and attention to detail in their work, and shines through in their daily warm interactions with each person who comes through the door.
Going to the dentist is an important but sometimes anxiety-inducing experience. We understand this stress and do everything possible to ensure every visit is calm, productive, and painless. Each of us wants to help, whatever our patient needs, and will do all we can to keep people smiling throughout their time here!
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in natural science-biology – University of Puget Sound
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Washington
Dentistry is a dynamic field that constantly changes as we develop new technologies, techniques, and materials. We are also steadily learning more about our health and bodies. These advances enable us to offer a range of diagnostic and treatment options in order to help patients achieve their best smiles.
I enjoy attending a variety of continuing education courses during the year, through monthly local study club meetings and local, regional, and national dental gatherings. Collaborating with other oral healthcare professionals, learning from the leading researchers and practitioners in the field, and sharing my own knowledge, all make me a better dentist.

Beyond the Practice
After growing up in Spokane, I have made Seattle my home for more than ten years. My husband and I have a very active young daughter who keeps us on our toes! We also have two sweet kitties. Most of our family lives in Seattle and we enjoy sharing time and adventures with them.
Depending on the season, I like swimming or hiking with my daughter, cheering for UW football at Husky Stadium, snowboarding at Stevens Pass, or disappearing into a book at home. As a former college athlete, I have enjoyed participating in road races and triathlons. I also really enjoy cooking and think my husband would say my success rate in “experimental” dishes is pretty high!
In recent years I have volunteered through United Way and the Seattle/King County Clinic. Before my daughter was born, I was a city ambassador for Cycle the WAVE, an all-women’s bike ride and education program that benefits domestic violence prevention programs. I also participate in child sponsorship through the nonprofit Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos. When my daughter is older, I’ll return to more active volunteer efforts; I miss that part of my life.
